When Celine Dion first saw the ridiculously talented vocal mimic Veronic, the pop icon recognized a star in the making. Impressed by her funny yet astoundingly accurate impressions of an eclectic collection of some of the greatest female singers of all time, Celine invited Veronic to open for her during the Taking Chances tour, where she drew rave reviews and standing ovations from the sold out crowds. Now Celine has brought her fellow Canadian to Las Vegas for a residency show at Bally’s.
Before the beautiful and talented singer ended up in Las Vegas, she starred in hit Canadian productions of Grease and Chicago, released two French language hit albums, performed in the two most prestigious comedy festivals in Canada, sold out large theaters in Canada and across Europe during a successful world tour, and starred as one of the judges on X-Factor France. Now she’s playing on one of the biggest stages of her life during her residency shows co-produced by Celine at Bally’s (in a classic showroom located just across the street from where her mentor performs her own smash residency show at Caesar Palace).
In VERONIC Voices, the headliner sings in the voice of over fifty superstar female vocalists, mimicking everyone from Lady Gaga to Madonna to Adele to Whitney Houston to Pink to Celine herself with otherworldly accuracy. Veronic deftly mixes in some humor along with her impressions as well, poking gentle fun at the personas of the over the top divas she mimics (and proving that Celine has a healthy sense of humor about herself since she decided to shepherd the career of a singing comedienne who parodied her onstage). A smoking band, six backup dancers, and large high definition video screens add to the production value, helping Veronic bring each classic song to vivid life.
Backed by the superstar endorsement of Celine Dion and her own enormous vocal and comedic talents, Veronic has begun to capture the imaginations of Las Vegas audiences during her residency performances at Bally’s.
