Sideswipe is a Los Angeles based extreme martial arts troupe of acrobatic, high-energy performance artists taking the nation by storm. Most people first saw them on “America’s Got Talent,” and now you can see them on stage at The Tropicana in Las Vegas.
The troupe has also been featured in many other film and TV projects, and they even opened for Britney Spears on her “Circus” world tour in 2009.
The troupe blends Capoeira, an African-Brazilian fusion of music, dance and martial arts, with acrobatics, pumping energy and movement into their fighting arts routines, which lends itself well to many music and theater venues around the world.
The music in the show is a fantastic enhancement to the visual spectacle, as the whir of corkscrewing, back-flipping bodies is truly the star of this performance. You’ll witness stunning acrobatic and martial arts homages to Star Wars fight scenes, Michael Jackson’s Man in the Mirror video and the original, classic Karate Kid movie.
Best of all, this show is completely family friendly, a rare thing in a town nicknamed Sin City. Since the performances run at 4 PM at the Tropicana, the exciting martial arts and acrobatics show makes a great late afternoon entertainment option when you find yourself struggling to find something to do with the kids before dinner.
With all of the action-packed choreography of dance, acrobatic flourishes and spectacular fight moves, the show is like nothing else in Vegas… or the world.
