Rod Stewart: The Hits

Rock legend Rod Stewart is bringing his hits to The Strip with his first Las Vegas residency. The electrifying entertainer will perform on the same massive Collosseum at Caesars Palace stage where superstars Celine Dion and Elton John continue to enjoy their long and wildly successful alternating residencies, and Stewart promises to bring his own unique energy to the resort.

Even though The Collosseum boats one of the largest stages on The Las Vegas Strip, the 4,100 seat theater is actually one of the smallest venues in which the rocker has performed in years, as he's been selling out massive arenas and stadiums for decades. His most recent series of shows with Stevie Nicks became one of the top grossing concert tours in recent years, but his Vegas residency shows put him in a more intimate setting where no fan is more than 120 feet from the stage.

The series of Rod Stewart Las Vegas residency shows will feature crowd-pleasing hits like Maggie May, Downtown Train, Broken Arrow, Reason to Believe, You Wear it Well, Hot Legs, You're in My Heart, Some Guys Have All the Luck, and, of course, Do Ya Think I'm Sexy? (a song that leaves women in the audience swooning and screaming in the affirmative). But Stewart's biggest fans will be rewarded as the superstar promises to pull out plenty of deep cuts and rarities from his song book, as well as smoking covers of some of favorite songs from artists who influenced his career.

Like any good Vegas residency, the visual spectacle is designed to match the auditory delights as Stewart will sport flamboyant (and Vegas appropriate) costumes on a beautifully designed set with stunning lighting effects and a massive video screen. Stewart sings into an eye-catching white microphone, which pumps his vocals through the latest stereo technology as he's supported by ultra-talented backup singers and a smoking-hot band.

Despite the visual opulence and sheer size of the production, its Stewart's legendarily tireless energy, enthusiasm and veteran performance chops that make the show a must-see experience for fans of the singer, who truly lives up to the title of one of his most famous songs by remaining Forever Young whenever he hits the stage.
