Bally's Steakhouse
One of the oldest restaurants in Las Vegas, Ballys Steakhouse is a classic Strip restaurant with an old-school vibe and classy elegance that would make Sinatra himself proud.
Maitre D's dressed in tuxedos greet you as you enter the beautiful old restaurant. The decor is designed to evoke a New England-style hunting lodge with green and white striped walls, rich dark woods, gorgeous chandeliers and Ralph Lauren fabrics.
If you're lucky, you'll be seated around one of the brown booths, which add to the old school atmosphere. Start with a classic appetizer, like shrimp cocktail, seafood on ice, oysters, clams, soups or salads to whet your appetite. But make sure you don't overdo it before you order your entree, because their signature dishes are truly special.
This being a decades old steakhouse, they're not messing around with their meats. Specialties include their bone-in sirloin steak, the 16 oz bone-in Filet, the massive 24 oz Porterhouse or their signature Premium Choice Grilled 22 oz Bone-in Rib eye. If you're looking for something other than steak, the restaurant's slow-roasted aged prime rib and Chilean sea bass are both worth sampling.
If you've got room left after the main course the restaurant offers sinfully delicious specialties like banana cream pie and mile high sundaes. Don't even try to fight the temptation to indulge; this is Sin City, after all.
The food is delicious, the service is top notch and the decor is elegant, with a classic Vegas vibe. In a time when new and trendy eateries run by celebrity chefs keep popping up all over town, Bally's Steakhouse remains a timeless institution that proves sometimes there really is no school like the old-school.
