Jersey Boys
Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, Jersey Boys, has enjoyed a wonderful run at the Palazzo, carrying over it's major Broadway success here in Las Vegas. The show is currently on hiatus and will be moving to Paris Hotel and Casino in 2012, reopening March 6th. Audiences love the inside story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons moving to the top of the charts during the birth of rock-n-roll. The jukebox musical will keep your toes tapping to the group's biggest hits, such as "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Walk Like a Man" and "December 1963 (Oh, What a Night)."
Even if you're not the biggest fan of the Four Seasons or the musical era they represent, you'll still enjoy the show's rags to riches storyline, in which a group of small town Jersey locals with few prospects for the future make good after overcoming many twists and hurdles. The show is a feel-good success story with music and some strong language. We're talking about a stereotypical character (or four) who must Walk Like a Man and talk like Newark "toughs". But it's the feel-good ingredient that carries the show.
You'll hear from each of the characterized members of the Four Seasons as they tell their story, all with such distinctive personalities and voices, that they may leave you surprised this band managed to accomplish as much as they did.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal staffers voted this Broadway carryover the "Best Show in Las Vegas" in 2009; while the Toronto Star called the production "a cheering, stomping, hats in the air triumph." Be advised though, that strong language peppers the dialogue, so this show is not recommended for children under 12, and no child under 5 will be admitted.
